Who are we: Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region.
Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues including health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.
Everton in the Community stands firmly beside the most at-risk and most in need members of its local communities, but the needs of the city are ever-growing and ever-evolving and the official charity of Everton Football Club is committed to helping as many people as possible.
About the opportunity: Everton in the Community's (EitC) 'Starting Well' initiative is for all parents with pre-school aged children. EitC offer a range of engaging activities and educational sessions that promote the significance of fostering strong bonds and attachments.
The sessions will provide a nurturing environment where parents can engage with their young ones, while also receiving valuable guidance to foster a secure and loving atmosphere for the next generation.
With a specific focus on new fathers, the Starting Well Support Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions that provide children with a safe space to play and have fun with other children of a similar age, whilst fathers can seek parent and wellbeing advice, connect with other fathers, and bond with their own children.

You will also provide signposting into wider supports and services provided by EitC, such as mental health and physical activity support, helping extend support and create a support-network.
