Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues including health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.

About the opportunity:
The Senior Communications Officer will play a key role in telling the story of Everton in the Community and will support the delivery of high-quality, engaging communications that raise awareness of the charity’s impact whilst protecting and enhancing its reputation.
As well as elevating the profile of Everton in the Community in the local, national and international media, the successful candidate will need to be passionate about using their skills to help support fundraising initiatives, funding development and charity campaigns.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with contacts at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as is attention to detail.
Essentially our ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working in the charity sector and/or within a professional sports organisation and understanding of new media technologies.
Other Key Skills and Experience
This is a hands-on role and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple projects at once.
The hours for this role are 35 per week and will be offered on a permanent contract.
This role will be based across EitC Campus and other locations as deemend suitable by the Senior Communications Officer - EitC
