About the opportunity: As part of the Premier League Suicide Prevention Project Everton in the Community (EitC), working in partnership with Everton Football Club, is seeking caring, approachable and proactive Casual Matchday ‘Together Against Suicide’ Support Workers to be part of our matchday mental health and suicide prevention team.
This role is central to our mission of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of fans and the wider community. You will help create a safe, welcoming presence around the stadium, offering compassionate listening, information, and signposting to those who may be struggling or seeking help.
In your role you will help deliver visible and meaningful support on matchdays and help connect individuals into ongoing EitC wellbeing programmes such as The People’s Place.
Safeguarding
Who we are looking for: We are looking for individuals who have experience of supporting or working with adults around mental health and wellbeing and who have the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds in a friendly and non-judgemental way.
This is a matchday role, therefore flexibility to work evenings and weekends according to fixtures is essential.
Essential qualifications include:
Qualified in Mental Health First Aid
Suicide prevention trained (ASIST, SafeTALK, or equivalent)
This position will be offered on a Casual basis working as and when required. Please note this is a matchday role, therefore flexibility to work evenings and weekends according to fixtures is essential.
The main location for this role will be at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
